Coming in the first release. This page describes behaviour being built for the first Gliss release. Details may change before it ships.
You install the Gliss GitHub App once for your organisation. It:
  • creates each app’s repository from the Gliss template;
  • applies branch protection, so nobody pushes straight to main;
  • sets up CI to sign in with short-lived tokens instead of stored secrets.
Builders do not need GitHub seats. The gliss client gives git a short-lived token for one repository at a time, and every token is audited.
This is a real grant of write access to the repositories Gliss creates. Code goes straight from the builder’s machine to GitHub and never passes through Gliss cloud.
Other Git hosts come later.
